Ok, so they'll be 9 months old this weekend....close enough. But, HOLY COW?! We've survived 9 months so far. It's been the craziest, most over-whelming, and most satisfying 9 months of our lives. They went in for their 9 month check up yesterday. O came in at 19 pounds 5 ounces and F was 19 pounds 9 ounces. Two 19 1/2 pound babies people! Both are crawling.all.over.and.really.fast! Pulling themselves up on things, falling down, getting bruises and bumps, and causing all kinds of chaos.
The funniest thing has been the cats. They realized those "things" suddenly move, and move fast! They've learned to be fast and quickly escape if one of them are approaching. O and F just giggle and crawl to chase the poor cats, which escape by jumping to the back of the couch where they can't be reached, yet.
Both are in 9 and 12 month clothes, a few 6 month pants fit (like capri's) but not for much longer. I just like them wearing pants especially now that they're crawling all over. O is in size 3 shoes--he got mommy's fat and wide feet :) and F still fits into size 2 shoes, but I think she's soon going to be in size 3--she got daddy's long skinny feet.
O hasn't hooked onto the idea of picking up foods with his fingers and putting them in his mouth yet. If you put the food on a spoon, he'll eat it. Finicky little kid. F however, LOVES puffs! She can't get enough of them and has started going "mmm mmmm mmm" when eating them. She's getting the hang of picking up foods, but it doesn't quite always make it into her mouth. She needs to learn we don't have doggies like Gigi and Grampy to pick up the crumbs and leftovers :)

How exciting! All the milestones are right on track with where my boys were at 9 months. It's such an exciting time! Now go invest in some really good baby gates!
