One Month (and 2 days)
Our little monkeys went in for their one-month appointment 2 days ago. F has gained two pounds from her birth weight! She now weighs 7 pounds, 6 ounces and is two inches longer! O is almost two pounds over his birth weight. He now weighs 8 pounds, 4 ounces and is an inch and a half longer. Both were in the 25-50th percentile for height, weight and head circumference, which we are thrilled about. Both are now on soy formula and are doing well. F seems to be a bit grassier, so we are going to try gripe water to see if that works better than the gas drops.

4 weeks old
Wow, hard to believe our monkeys are four weeks old already and will be one month old in two days. I'm looking forward to their one month appointment only to see how they've grown! We've switched F to soy formula two days ago and she's definitely been gassier. We got gas drops today and have been giving them to both to see if that helps as soy formula tends to cause more gas. O has been doing well with tummy time and definitely has the stronger muscles of the two--we're working on hers. Ok, gotta feed now and more later!!

They're Here!!!
It was a boy and a girl!!!! Baby F (girl) arrived at 9:39 am and Baby O (boy) followed at 9:41 am on the 15th. Both are healthy. We were discharged two days later and both DH and I got sick the first week they were home--not fun! My mom stayed with us that first week to help out and I think that's the only reason I stayed sane! :) we think baby O may have a milk allergy so he's been switched to a soy-based formula and had been doing much better. My milk hasn't come in yet and I've been pumping and getting less than an ounce combined from both breasts. The lactation consultant said ivf meds plus my thyroid issue can cause this, or my body just won't produce milk. Since it did so well being pregnant with twins, I'm ok with this.

T minus 5 days
This is my first post from the phone, so we'll see how it goes. Twins are set to arrive this Saturday. I've been having NST's the past three weeks and they've been passing with flying colors. Blood pressure has been elevated a little but not too high where they're worried. Whew! Until next time, monkeys will be here!

32 weeks...
Wow, 32 weeks!?!? Actually, more like 32 weeks and 4 days. Seems like this pregnancy has been flying by! We've had both of our baby showers, which were just fantastic! Our aunts did a fabulous job and we are beyond blessed with all the gifts we received. Everything is ready to go, stroller put together (and we've practiced taking the carriers in and out of the stroller). If you have a double stroller, practice taking the carseats in and out, it's not as easy as it looks! :) Hospital bags are packed and in the car, the nursery is almost done. Just need to put the freshly-washed crib bedding on the cribs and that's set. Monkeys, you can come anytime now. I've been feeling ok and have definitely noticed a slow down in the past week. I got the cold last week which sucked and started my overall slow-down. I feel like I'm waddling and am walking sooo much slower!

30 Weeks
Wow, did I really just type that?! 30 weeks pregnant with twins? Hard to believe it's flown by and they could truly arrive at any time--but we're hoping they'll stay cozy a bit longer until our scheduled c-sec at 37 weeks. My first baby shower is Satruday and I am so excited! I'll be seeing friends and family that I haven't seen for sometime and to be able to celebrate these two chunky monkeys will be a blessing and a long time coming.
My next appointment is next Tuesday and we'll have another growth scan and cervical check. So far they've been having parties left and right and constantly moving.

3rd Trimester!
Woo hoo, we made it to 26 weeks!!! Hard to believe our babies will be here in 11 weeks (if I make it to 37) or less. I had an emotional moment the other day when I realized we would finally need to buy Cristmas stockings for our kids and a "baby's first christmas" ornament. This is such a huge deal to us--we buy an ornmanet every year (and we have since we started dating 14 years ago) which represents something we did that year or something important that happened that year. It's a tradition my husband's mom started with him and his sibilings when he was a baby and I thought it was really cool. We still have all of his ornaments throughout the years. She writes the year on the bottom so you know what year it was for and the memory comes back.
Back to the babies..went in for my cervix check earlier this week and it's still holding up strong and long and looking fantastic! Their fluid levels are great as well and both babies are in the 80th percentiles. My doctor thinks there's a good chance I'll make it to 37 weeks. I've only gained 10 pounds (I was overweight when I got pregnant, so she's not concerned with that), been eating protein like mad, and my blood pressure has stayed low.
We finished our labor and delivery class for multiples this week, and our last class was focused on post-partum. Breast feeding, caring for newborns, what you can expect from your body post birth whether it's vag or c-sec. I'd say this was the most informing class of three and what I was looking forward to the most.
Tomorrow we're going to an annual consignment sale put on by moms of multiples and am so excited! I am hoping they'll have good deals on stuff for multiples--strollers (maybe..haven't decided if I want to buy a used one), toys, booster seats, play mats--lots of stuff!
That's all for now!
